Everyone who takes the CELPIP test has their own story, filled with challenges and small wins. Antonina’s story is about hard work, learning, and success. She faced big struggles with grammar but didn’t give up. Here’s how she achieved her goal.
For Antonina, grammar was always hard.
“I struggled with verb tenses since school. I always mixed them up,” she said.
But with the help of her teacher, Karolina, she finally understood.
“Karolina explained grammar in a way that made sense to me. It helped me understand the tasks and how to answer them. I’m very thankful for her support!”
Antonina didn’t follow a complicated study plan.
She listened to her teacher’s advice during their lessons twice a week.
“I didn’t use any special methods,” she said.
“Instead of wasting time on TikTok, I started watching English videos there. It sounds simple, but it helped!”
Antonina found School on Instagram.
“Joining the course was life-changing,” she said.
“I worked with Karolina for nine months before the test. I learned how the test works, how to answer tasks, and improved my grammar and vocabulary. The course helped me feel confident.”
Antonina admits her biggest problem was laziness.
“I only prepared for two hours a week during lessons. I didn’t do extra tasks or free practice tests. Would I recommend this? No! Success takes effort. You need to work hard.”
On test day, Antonina wasn’t nervous—until she realized her parking time was running out.
“I kept worrying about getting a ticket. It distracted me during the test,” she said.
Still, she stayed focused and passed.
“My advice? Stay calm and don’t let small things stress you.”
Listening was Antonina’s best section.
“I’ve always been good at understanding spoken English, so this part was easier for me,” she shared.
Speaking, however, was her hardest section.
